Batel Magen is a qualified and registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist and is a member of the Association for Dance Movement Psychotherapy UK. As a therapist she forms part of the core team at Dance Voice therapy centre working with adults with learning disabilities. She also offers group and one-to-one therapy sessions at an adolescent psychiatric unit, one of the few in the region.

Moreover she is regularly invited to lecture 3rd year MA students about dance psychotherapy work. She is also the module leader in dance/Movement on the Creative Arts Therapies course (Plymouth University and Bristol City College), responsible for planning, facilitating, marking and evaluating. She has recently been invited to join the teaching team at Dance Voice Education Centre as part of the MA in Dance Movement Psychotherapy.

Batel finds connections between dance as an art form and dance as therapy and hence constantly shifts between both areas of expertise and believes that her skills are applicable in her work.

Batel holds a up-to-date public liability insurance specifically for therapy work and an enhanced CRB.
